A little story about this image... WEATHERED
We were in the Grand Tetons area for my niece's wedding for the week. We had just had dinner and Mom and Dad were telling us of this barn they saw on a hill that I would absolutely love... my mom knows me well! She knew the road, but not where it was or exactly how far down the road it was. So after dinner, as we were leaving we could see a storm brewing and had to make a choice to head back to the Airbnb or go on a hunt for the barn... obviously we chose the hunt!
It was a bit farther down the road than we had expected and the storm was moving in our favor, but close. Then we spotted it! I was so excited. There was no place to park, so Scott, Lexi and Alec dropped me off and they drove off... I didn't have much time... the storm was kicking up some wind and they were just going to drive a bit and turn around... 10 minutes is all I had. I grabbed the only camera I had... unfortunately it had a long lens on it and I grabbed Scott's. I ended up only using his camera because of the wide angle lens. Just as I got to this point on the property, the sun popped out from under the clouds at the horizon and lit it up beautifully... God is great. The kiss of light was what I needed for the texture of the barn and the blowing grasses in front. I only took about 20 photos, not many by my standards, but this was my favorite of them all.
Located somewhere near Driggs, Idaho. I often wonder if this barn is still standing. I'm sure it has weathered many storms in it's lifetime. If only they could tell their story.
Printed in light sepia and color. Available in 2:3 ratio. As always, the image on the blog is not as sharp as your printed image.
My recommendations... I love this image. It hangs as a 24x36 raw metal (see description below) image in my family room (light sepia). If going with the light sepia version, I love the raw metal. If you opt to go with the color version, the photographic print or white base metal is beautiful. If you are wanting the colors to make a statement, then I would opt for the raw metal.

RAW METAL
Metal prints come in a white base or raw metal (reflective / brushed metal look) base. Raw metal prints a little darker than on a white base. The whites come out a bit grey. But when the light hits it... it sings! It pops off the wall and demands attention. I don't recommend raw metal for a lot of images, but when I do... I know you will not be disappointed. White base is available on the web. Raw Metal is a custom order, just call or email me and I will offer it at the same price as the white base metal print.
